Our estance in Pinipahana Walauwa Resort was perfect! We have been 2 nights. The service was excellent, the workers were really attentive. The rooms were really clean and the food in their restaurant was delicious! I really recommend this hotel to everyone.
I recently spent my holiday at Pinipahana Walauwa in Matara, and it was a truly relaxing experience. The property is a beautiful, heritage-style house with clean and peaceful surroundings. The English breakfast was superb—fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor. I also enjoyed the dinner, which is available at an additional cost but offers a good range of options. The pool and distant sea view added to the charm of the stay.
However, it's worth noting that the entry road is narrow, so drivers should be cautious even though it’s a carpeted road. Google Maps also suggested an alternate route with a steep downhill, which may be challenging for some vehicles. Additionally, since the kitchen area is close to the pool, a bit more freedom or privacy around the pool would enhance the experience—but the friendly and helpful staff helped make it manageable.
Overall, it’s a great place to unwind if you enjoy peaceful surroundings and a touch of history.
Bohužel nemohu doporučit a musím napsat recenzi,i když jsem nechtěla . Na (booking.com )totiž najdete velmi dobré hodnocení ,ale neodpovídá realitě .
Personál byl milý a budova je pěkná ,ale čistota nebyla dobrá . Bazén nebyl čistý ,pokoj a jeho vůně také nebyla úplně ideální . Navíc jsme musely zabíjet šváby . Lokalita není dobrá pro dívky ,které cestují sami bez partnera 🙂
Cestuji hodně a zažila jsem toho hodně ,řekla bych tedy že nějaké maličkosti se dají přehlédnout .
Například snídaně nebo voda ve sprše,pokud cestujete častěji ..víte jak to v Asii chodí ,potom ale toto ubytování musí mít poloviční cenu za pokoj než nabízí 👍🏻🙂
Manager was good n friendly .Food was good. But not safe only for girls.one person tried to capture photos.Kitchen area was near the pool.No privacy.So don’t recommend.
Clean and nice location,we held the birthday party, Excellent food and service ,Specially Thanks to the manager of the hotel, Mr. Kanushka, he was very friendly and made all arrangements according to our needs.Highly recommend
Beautiful and comfortable rooms. No WiFi in rooms. Had to be in the restaurant area with horrible mosquitoes to use the computer. Someone who showed had authotity, was very rude when we asked the meals to be served on time for the next day. Had no choice for breakfast, and the bland English breakfast served was just toast, omelette, butter, jam and sausages. So unfriendly and was not accomodative other than the room boy, who was obliging and excusing for the mistakes! No disability access and we had to carry our bag and baggage to the room.
We had a get-together at this place. Wonderful quiet cosy place located at a summit. Very nice sceneries around. Resort is clean, and service is superb. Highly recommended
Place is beautiful. Place is calm and a peaceful place. This place is really nice in the evenings. It’s a good place to have a gathering or an event. But food isn’t that good here. Even the service wasn’t that great. Even though you pay for the place and food and all the other stuffs they won’t offer you a good service. If I’m not mistaken the manager of this place, named Thushara is such a pain. Even though you ask anything he won’t arrange it with the way you want. He will do whatever the thing he needs. Better to get your stuffs by your own without asking him to do so.
Except the service and food, the place is really good. It’s beautiful place.
