My Favorite villa in Ahangama. Food is exceptional & staff always make your stay feel special. The most beautiful private beach that is safe to swim. Perfect for a home away from home.

Our stay at South Point Villas in Ahangama was genuinely one of the most special experiences of our lives. I had planned a surprise proposal during our stay and from the moment I first contacted the team, they made everything feel effortless.

Sonali was absolutely incredible throughout the whole process. She helped me organise every detail leading up to the proposal, from the flowers and food to the table set up and all the small touches that made the night so special. Nothing was ever too much trouble and she genuinely cared about making it perfect for us.

Anil, who managed the villa operations, was also amazing. Whatever we needed, whenever we needed it, he was there to help with a smile. The level of service from him and the whole team was honestly some of the best we’ve ever experienced.

A huge thank you as well to Renuka, who kept the villa looking beautiful at all times and was always so kind and helpful throughout our stay.

And then there was Asha, the chef, who made every single meal an experience in itself. Not only was the food absolutely incredible, but she was also one of the loveliest people we met during our stay. Always smiling, always checking in, and always happy to adapt meals or prepare whatever we felt like eating. From amazing fresh dishes to incredible Italian food, everything she cooked was genuinely restaurant quality and we looked forward to every meal. You could tell how much care and effort she put into everything she made.

The night of the proposal was the most special night of my life and I honestly cannot imagine a more perfect setting. Watching the sunset at the front of the villa with the waves crashing below while everything had been set up so beautifully felt surreal. It could not have been more perfect.

The villa itself is absolutely stunning. It’s beautifully maintained, peaceful, luxurious and somehow even better than the photos. But what truly makes South Point Villas so special is the people. Every single member of staff went above and beyond from the moment we booked until the moment we left. Every single person was constantly smiling, warm and welcoming, and they made us feel so at home throughout the entire stay.

Everything about our stay felt magical and we will never forget it. Thank you to the entire team for creating memories that will last a lifetime. We already can’t wait to come back.

Such a beautiful villa. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The bedrooms were spacious and beds very comfortable. We were there for a family wedding and everyone had an amazing time. Thanks to everyone for making it so special.

Villa may be beautiful but other “chalets” they offer are a scam - they are surrounded by horrible, destroyed and dirty buildings. DO NOT AGREE TO OTHER OPTIONS THAN VILLA! These people are dishonest and don’t want to give money back after cancellation. There are many cheaper places with much nicer beaches on the coast.

We had a fabulous family holiday in the Surf House - Southpoint villas over Christmas 2025.
6 adults and 4 young children ranging from 9 years to 18 months old.
Sujeewa and the team looked after us exceptionally well.
The location was excellent - just cross a small road to the beach - good for surfing too.
We had a private pool - very secluded
There was 24 hour security
The rooms were very comfortable with a cot and high chairs provided
The food was delicious and varied- including a mouthwatering seafood buffet for Christmas and a wonderful barbecue on our last night.
The staff were wonderful with the children and with us.
We went on many day trips - to Galle,
to see turtles, at a nearby beach,
a boat expedition from Mirrisa to see whales and dolphins,
an elephant safari ( Udawalawe)
and even a little known rainforest - Kaneliya
All in all we’ve had a fabulous and unforgettable family holiday

Fantastic beachfront villas - we booked all 18 beachside rooms between the 3 villas there for a group trip in Dec 2025. It was ideal - everyone loved the views, greenery, pool and the service provided by Mrs. Sujeewa & team. Vegetarian food was average - they are clearly not used to hosting pure vegetarians but otherwise it was all good.

If you love the ocean & swimming in the ocean this is the place to be. Absolutely stunning. We loved our time here. Asha our chef produced the most amazing food, seafood curries, eggplant dishes, rice with cashews .. amazing. The other staff were excellent too. & they genuinely cared for us.
The rooms were fab.. & the outdoor living spaces were excellent.
I highly recommend this 3 brm villa. We plan to come again

We came on a family trip to Ahangama South Point Ocean Villa. The staff were welcoming and friendly. We were greeted with a welcome drink and personally ordered flower bouquets. The rooms were clean and tidy at all times. The bathrooms were huge, clean and really nice! The view of the ocean from the villa was just so beautiful! They had a pool which has a view of the ocean, which is just spectacular!
The staff were friendly and efficient. Whenever we requested for anything, they would make themselves available with enthusiasm. When we needed first aid, they were there with no delay.
Mrs Sujeewa together with Mr Gamini offered a variety of Sri Lankan food which was a perfect suggestion for us as Sri Lankans living abroad. We felt as if we had a taste of Sri Lanka in two days!
They treated us with such comfort! Thank you team!! GOD Bless you all!!

The villa itself is a stunning architectural masterpiece, effortlessly blending elegance with comfort. Our rooms were immaculate, beautifully appointed, and felt like a private sanctuary. What truly elevates South Point Villa is the incredible staff.

Our office staff stay last Saturday felt far too short! South Point Villa offers a rare blend of private luxury and heartfelt hospitality, making it the perfect setting for a group retreat. If you are looking for an escape for a corporate gathering or a special occasion to treat your team, WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS VILLA. We are already planning our return!

Booked the 11 room villa for a group of 20+ and everyone had a great time. The staff were excellent, and so was the food.

Rooms were very comfortable and had everything we needed.

Location was great, but we did not need to leave the villa as everythign was arranged and provided for us.

Would highly recommend for groups.

My friends and I stayed at South Point Villas for three days, and we absolutely loved it. The staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and trustworthy their hospitality made our stay even more special. The place itself is stunning: spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and filled with charm. The food was excellent too! I truly couldn’t recommend it more a perfect getaway spot.

What a beautiful place to stay for friends and family. We stayed at South Point Ocean for 2 nights and we were all very well looked after.

We had a chef on premises who cooked us some lovely meals as well as a bbq one night! The place has all the necesary amenities for a very comfortable and trouble free stay. Not to forget the two lovely dogs Nico and Randy! ❤️ The staff went above and beyond with everything that we needed

This is the first time in years that I've been back in Ahangama and staying here really made it the more memorable!

We stayed at South Point Villa early in April for 5 nights. What a wonderful find. We needed to leave our other accommodation very quickly & they accommodated us
landing a day earlier than our booking and arriving late at night with great professionalism & ease. Clearly, the staff are well trained & very accomplished: nothing was a problem. Breakfast was included & very 'yummy' (a quote from three hungry & sometimes picky teenagers). The Sri-Lankan pancakes went down like wildfire! The lovely ladies even showed us how to make them on the lady morning of our stay. Overall, this villa & staff are highly recommended. There is a quiet elegance to this property & those in it.

We had an unforgettable stay at South Point Villa in Galle! From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality and peaceful atmosphere made us feel instantly relaxed. The villa itself is stunning—spacious, beautifully designed, and offering complete privacy, making it perfect for a quiet escape.

The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the food. Every meal was a delicious, authentic Sri Lankan feast, prepared with fresh ingredients and packed with flavor. We couldn’t have asked for better dining during our stay!

Service was exceptional throughout. The staff was incredibly attentive and always available, ensuring our comfort while respecting our privacy. They truly made us feel welcome without being intrusive.

Whether lounging by the pool or enjoying the villa’s tranquil surroundings, we found it to be the perfect spot to unwind. Had an immensely enjoyable two nights at South Point Villa (my second stay there). The rooms were very comfortable and well-furnished, with very effective air conditioners and fans considering the heat and humidity in Ahangama. The pool was refreshing and there is direct access to the beach right at your backdoor. The staff here are especially attentive and obliging to the requests we made, helping us feel at home and relaxed during our entire time. A particular note of praise goes to the chef as the Sri Lankan food we had was phenomenal. I highly recommend South Point Villa to anyone staying in the area!

Apologies for the last review....Our family (4pax) stayed at the Chalet for 3 nights in Feb 2024.
Our stay there was very very nice. The staff were excellent and went out of their way to accommodate our requests. Mr Gamini was very helpful and resourceful. The food was very tasty and the BBQ was also great. Upali, Renuka, Anjana, Nishantha and Anil went out of their way to make our stay a memorable one.

Our stay at SPV has been nothing but wonderful. We have a beachfront bedroom which is really great and relaxing. The sound of the waves is our morning alarm. The welcome dinner and the breakfast are top notch, chef’s hand is a pure magic and we are thankful for the excellent service. We’ll definitely be back soon. ❤️

An extremely well maintained villa in a beautiful location by the sea. The staff were very efficient and the meals were a big spread, each dish tastily prepared. Every attention to detail has been paid in the rooms and general service. I would happily recommend this place to anyone who wants to chill, gazing at the sea.

I can't recommend South Point Villa enough! We had the most beautiful stay with family during our Christmas holiday. The house is stunning, filled with the most tasteful furniture and artworks. Nothing beats the view from the deck, you basically have your own private beach. Sometimes horses walk across the beach, it's magical! And honestly, we had the best Sri Lankan food at South Point. We spent about a month in the country and this was, hands down, the best food we had. The staff is so lovely and looked after our every need. I'm planning to come back to this gorgeous place again and again!
