Thank you so much to Sam and the team for looking after us as if we were family! What a special experience! Not only is the villa absolutely stunning with some of the best views of the coast, but the service and food is top of the top. We had a family reunion to celebrate my fathers milestone bday and the team went above and beyond. If you want authentic Sri Lankan food, you cannot get better. They also catered for our children by providing Western food as required. It was all very delicious! So honest and transparent with anything that we asked. We had the best time and will be recommending you! Thanks again!

WOW! We love this place!! As a family of 11 (3 generations) we had a wonderful time in Kambura Villa. The location is secluded and yet close to shops and local transport and a short drive to Mirissa. The views are stunning and the beach is a 5 minute walk away and our children loved playing in the sea. A special mention to Sam, Asanka, Suggi and the staff who took care of our every need. We ate amazing food for breakfast lunch and dinner but also ate out once or twice. We will be back one day! Thank you for an incredible holiday ♥️

The villa itself was nice enough, and the location was okay for a relaxing stay. The general staff were friendly, polite, and accommodating, which made parts of our stay enjoyable.However, the experience was soured by the behavior of the manager, Barbara. Her attitude was unnecessarily aggressive and unprofessional. When a misunderstanding arose about the presence of two 3-year-old children, she completely overreacted. Instead of addressing the situation calmly, she was barking like a dog — loud, rude, and disrespectful. She insisted that we had to take a separate villa from her because of the kids, which felt completely unreasonable and forced.Hospitality should be about communication, flexibility, and respect. Unfortunately, Barbara lacked all three in our interaction. With better management, Kumbura Villa could offer a far more welcoming

It was a beautiful location, but we weren’t able to fully appreciate the stay as Barbara was quite awful in her respects to her guests and unaccommodating, it seemed to us as if she only cared about the money. While the breakfast was inclusive at the end we found out they charged us separately for the eggs… eggs which are a breakfast staple. They could’ve at least informed us before about the additional cost but they failed to do so, which was quite unprofessional. Would recommend the villa, if the management changed.Food was amazing which was made by the in-house chefs..

I had the best time with my friends who came for a surf trip to Sri Lanka. We had some great food and enjoyed watching some films in the cinema. The staff were just too nice and so helpful. I'd like to especially thank Sam and Ms. Barbara for making the stay so much fun and memorable.

I had a very pleasant stay at the villa. I particularly loved staying in the master suite with the spiral staircase. The staff were amazing and very attentive. Barbara the host was incredibly kind and we had some wonderful chats!

It is interesting that the group which now criticises Kambura Villa and makes accusations, upon leaving left a glowing handwritten review. I wasnt even there which makes it even more amusing that they all seem to claim to have spoken to me at the event.

During a wedding at the villa, the rooms were searched to steal money, I do not recommend this place. No concern about theft by the establishment

We attended a wedding organized in the villa. During the ceremony, our friends' money was stolen. Barbara, the manager, was dishonest towards us. It's as if she was an accomplice. I absolutely do not recommend this place.

The villa is spacious, convenient location and a wonderful cook.But I don’t want to return to it, since the staff and Barbara were unable to constructively solve the problem with the missing money from me and the photographer at their villa. Instead, they began to talk in raised voices in defense of their team.This behavior is unacceptable.That day there was a wedding ceremony for my friends and I didn’t want to spoil their holiday.We are just guests. By the way, I don't drink.At the moment, a week has passed since the event, the issue has not been resolved in any way.

Magic happens here!!Spent a couple days here post a wedding at Kalutara. We did not even feel the need to leave this place. Partly because we were exhausted but mostly cause this place was perfect and it had the ‘dreamy’ factor to it.Gorgeous villa, great location, wonderful private beach, amazing service and great food. We were lucky enough to witness an absolutely clear night sky on a no moon and spotted a comet and a shooting star all adding to the ‘dreamy’ quotient.Big recommend and definite coming back. Great work to the entire team to make us feel like we lacked nothing.
