We had a family reunion, ages ranged from 6 to 60, teenagers. The house was perfect. The place is amazing. We had a once in a lifetime experience. The food, the staff and the location all 5 stars. We were concerned about it being out of town, but it was easy in a Tuk Tuk, and we could get everything we needed in the lovely local village. Highly recommend. Everyone agreed it was the best place any of us have stayed.

Three families with ages ranging from 6 to 60, and teenagers, from the UK and Australia We all had the most amazing stay. It was the most beautiful and comfortable house any of us have stayed in.
We ate the majority of our food in the villa, it was all delicious and enjoyed by all. Thank you chef Tilva.

We were worried about the location being away from the beach but easy in a Tuk tuk, and in the end we enjoyed walking into the local village away from the hustle and bustle and just enjoying the monkeys and birds that you could see from the balconies. The staff Manoj and Aron were extremely accommodating.

We only wished we could stay longer.

The most amazing place. It feels like living in a 5* boutique hotel (without the other guests). The staff were incredible- so attentive, and kind and the food is amazing. We’re already planning future trips to Sri Lanka just so we can stay there again! You can see monkeys jumping across the trees from the pool as well.

It was a wonderful family trip for a dozen plus of us from 31st Oct to 2nd Nov, our first to Sri Lanka.
From the time we checked in Manoj,Silva and team were only too happy to be at our service- seeking our needs, suggesting local tours and arranging for local conveyance and purchases.
The food items served were consistently excellent. Upkeep of rooms was of high quality.
Awesome view of the surroundings, beautifully maintained infinity pool- all these provide avenues to a traveller who wants to get away from the noise and din of a city. An ideal boutique resort for any closely-knit family or friends group.
Strongly recommended.

It was our first time visiting Sri Lanka, and we stayed at Cassia Hill from Tuesday, 10th September, until Monday, 16th September.

There were 7 of us in the group, and we all had our own rooms and bathrooms, except for the wedding couple, who were our main reason for visiting Sri Lanka.

I can speak for the whole group when I say we could not fault the villa or the staff one bit. The entire experience was amazing from day one. Manoj and his team were amazing! They were always there to help us with anything we needed.

The food was incredible! Every day we were given a menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which was optional. Each menu had at least 5 different meal choices. For breakfast, we were always given fruit on the side in addition to our main meal with fresh mango juice (Watermelon, Mango, and Papaya). For lunch, there were always two courses, and dinner was always a three-course meal. I have never eaten so much on holiday before, but we ate at the villa every day, and it was too good not to have breakfast, lunch, and dinner!! We got to pick our meal times, and the food was always ready on time. The table was set beautifully for all meals. We did not have to lift a finger.

The view from the infinity pool is STUNNING!! The pool itself is very clean and got nice and warm as the day went on. We were given fresh beach towels every day. The rooms were very clean and very spacious. The beds were big and so comfortable and had mosquito nets around them. Every morning our rooms were cleaned and provided with TWO fresh towels each. All bathrooms have two sinks, and my room came with a walk-in wardrobe.

The whole crew at the villa was wonderful! They were friendly, helpful, and approachable. We all enjoyed talking to them and getting to know them. They made us feel extremely welcome and comfortable. They were all respectful and made conversation with us. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Cassia Hill Villa. In Galle, I wouldn't bother staying anywhere else. There is nowhere better. The team at Cassia Hill make you feel at home. The Villa is huge and is STUNNING. I had the best week in Sri Lanka, and I'm so happy we stayed at this villa.

In the future, when I come back to Sri Lanka, I WILL be staying here again 🙂

Our first colonial bungalow stay in Sri Lanka - loved the high ceilings, tasteful wood furnishings and elegant color palate of this beautiful building with its gorgeous greenery and infinity pool to occupy the kids. Chef De Silva’s cooking is divine and his legendary desserts are (apple crumble, flourless chocolate cake) worth busting your diet for. The hospitality of Manoj and his team made chilling in the living space in front of the open kitchen an evening delight. We are new fans!

The Villa is wonderful - stunning views , impressive architecture, nice pool, comfy beds, tastefully furnished and decorated with very special art work, and most importantly beautifully maintained. The house and the surrounding landscape is beautifully kept.

The staff Mr. Silva, Manoj, Lasantha and others work very hard to ensure that their guests have a good holiday. They made every effort to meet our asks. Every meal was quite simply delicious and graciously served. They are friendly, polite and very hospitable.

I highly recommend this place for your holiday.

We had a wonderful time at Cassia Hill. the highlight was no doubt, the pool, where we spent most of our time. The food was delicious! Expertly and caringly prepared by chef de Silva. Manoj and Lasantha took care of all our needs and the entire team was friendly, kind and thoughtful. They also arranged massages for some of our group. Highly recommended!

Great staff. Over all impressive service oriented staff. The chef, Silva made us great breakfast and dinner. Manoj gave us insights to Srilanka history and politics.

The property is a grand colonial villa with modern luxuries on a secluded hillside with sweeping views, 8 minutes from the coast. Sumptuously appointed, the villa is fully staffed to serve you. A peaceful haven free of the coastal railway noise of beachside villas, but close enough to enjoy all that Sri Lanka has to offer!

The space
Luxe is a newly renovated, grand colonial-style villa designed by George Cooper of Kahanda Kanda fame. Tastefully decorated with an eclectic mix of vintage Raj-era and modern furnishings, the villa is nestled in a tropical garden on a hillside with sweeping views, just 8 minutes from the coast. Enjoy sunset drinks on the sweeping verandah under lazily turning fans, or lounge in the infinity pool or hammock, to the sound of distant temple chants and the chattering of wildlife in the trees.

Guest access
Guests have full use of the main villa with 4 luxurious bedrooms and an attached villa with 2 smaller bedrooms and a living room. The main villa has an infinity pool and grand verandahs, and both villas are surrounded by a gardens with plants and trees.

Other things to note
The villa is equipped with broadband WiFi, large-screen plasma TV, multi-region DVD player with a library of films, satellite TV, and a Naim sound system with iPad music library. Plus we have classic board games if you want to go retro! For power outages, the property has a backup generator, and there is round-the-clock security.
