We would like to sincerely thank the entire team for taking such wonderful care of us throughout our stay. The service was consistently outstanding — attentive, warm, and genuinely caring at every moment.
We stayed in a room in the main building, which was very spacious and came with a beautiful bathroom. We also loved the hotel’s style and its boutique-sized atmosphere — both were absolutely convincing and made the experience feel personal and special.
At breakfast, we highly recommend trying the Sri Lankan breakfast. It was truly the best curry we had during our entire trip.
I want to emphasize once again how exceptionally attentive and dedicated the service staff is. The on-site management is doing a phenomenal job.
My wife also had a massage and still talks about it today — every dollar was absolutely worth it and well justified.
A small tip for future guests: when arriving, don’t be put off by the road leading to the hotel. It’s a public road, and anyone who knows the country’s roads will understand the condition. Once you arrive, you’ll find an exceptionally pleasant atmosphere. The open design and the garden are simply lovely.
We originally planned to stay only two nights, but luckily we weren’t happy with our previous hotel and arrived earlier — which allowed us to enjoy four days of this hotel’s warmth and hospitality.
If there were more than five stars, we would gladly give them — and the staff truly deserves at least ten.
A calm and luxurious small resort with a beautiful beach view. It is a warm and homely place where you can truly relax and enjoy peaceful days by the sea. The tranquil atmosphere makes it perfect for unwinding and spending quality time away from the busy world.

I spent two delightful nights at The Muse ...I was the only guest there and was looked after most hospitably by Nishantha, Aruna and the chef. All other staff were also friendly, welcoming and efficient. The Muse is an unique, stylish property where the staff are the epitome of Sri Lankan hospitality.
Nyne the Muse is now one of my favorite places! Everything about this place is amazing- the property, the amenities, the rooms. But the two things that really elevate it are the staff and the food. Nishantha hosted us and was absolutely incredible. His service went above and beyond all expectation. The food was outstanding- they truly have a five star kitchen and the chef is a master. We will absolutely return and are also looking forward to visiting other Nyne hotel locations in our future trips to Sri Lanka!
We stayed at the Nyne Muse for 2 nights and I wish it was for longer. The entire staff was so welcoming and friendly. They always magically appeared exactly at the right times. And were more than accommodating when we needed anything. Without hesitation they would always respond with a warm smile & a “yes, of course; no problem.”We had dinner & breakfast each day and it was fantastic. Towards the end of each dinner it was lovely to see the chef and have a little chat. His meals were delicious & full of flavor. The menu catered to local and western cuisine. On our 2nd night, a few friends of ours were staying at neighboring hotels. They came over to join us for dinner (as their accommodations didn’t have a kitchen or were closed). Each of our friends were so grateful to have proper service, excellent meals and leave with full bellies. The service is something that separates this hotel from others. The service was excellent. Nishantha and the team were exceptional. I love that this hotel is boutique & beautiful. If I were to book a retreat with multiple people, I would book all the rooms of the The Nyne - the Muse. It’s just that special!

Loved everything about the Muse, the villas were cosy, cool and so close to the beach. The staff were extraordinarily courteous and ensured we were taken care of. The food was brilliant and the seafood platter was our best meal of the holiday. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a beach holiday at an exclusive hotel
An absolutely phenomenal stay at The Muse! Surpassing all expectations, every aspect was exceptional. From the divine chocolate orange fondant to the mouthwatering eggs Benedict, negumbo prawn curry, and black pork curry, each dish left us in awe. Even the fish and chips were spectacular! A heartfelt special mention to Thusitha, whose unparalleled hospitality elevated our experience to new heights. The quaint stroll to the beach and the magical sunsets made our stay truly unforgettable. Highly recommended for an enchanting getaway!
Exceptional hospitality from Kenny and crew made it a memorable stay for us. Birthday cakes for the kids, yummy food, pristine beach, sharp attention to service detail and not much more to ask for really! Safe to say we are Taru Villa fans now, no more assembly line type hotel chains for us 🙂
Absolutely brilliant place. Amazing hospitality with very humble, helpful, well-behaved, and patient staff. The rooms were spacious, neat, and clean with required amenities. The lighting inside the rooms could have been tad brighter but no complaints. We enjoyed the breakfast with great healthy options. However, 1-2 more vegetarian options could be added to be more inclusive. I loved the idea of ordering breakfast menus the night before to reduce food wastage. The gentlemen managing the entire property were wonderful. The property is very well maintained, and the pool was amazing with great facilities. The beach was just 200m walk away. There is a railway right behind the hotel right before you get to the beach, making it a very romantic setup. All in all, it is highly recommended for a peaceful, therapeutic, relaxing, less crowded, and more personalized experience. Last but not the least, can't thank enough the entire staff who took such great care of us and also Vinoth from Sales team who helped me with the bookings, recommendations, and constantly checking in on us to ensure we have a wonderful experience overall. 5 out of 5, to say the least.
Wonderful place. The service and food was excellent (eggs benny for breakfast, calamari egg noodles for lunch, and semifreddo for dessert were among the highlights).
I am personally not a massive fan of the rooms since I find them a bit dark. On the other hand they are great for sleeping and given that the outdoor spaces are so nice, one doesn't really need to spend any time during the day in the room. The bathrooms are very well designed.
Overall location is great. Good stretch of beach for swimming and even a bit of boogie boarding!
Had a fabulous stay at The Muse. The driveway to it doesn't give the best impression but when you get there it's like a little Oasis. The pool is quite small and better for children (recommend going to the next door villas if you want to sit out and relax - the Long House my favourite) but you don't really need it as the beach is only 100m across the railway track. Here you'll have private sunbeds and a permanent waiter bringing you water or getting food/drinks. The beach is yours and practically empty with a lovely warm sea to cool off (beware the current - it's very strong). The room was nice - no windows so a little dark but you could open the doors to a beautiful view of the beach. We had a veranda to enjoy the included afternoon tea which was lovely. Room was spotless and always kept clean. One word of warning for light sleepers. You are right next to the railway track and the trains are noisy. However, they are not very regular (maybe once per hour). The earliest was around 4.45AM and the latest around midnight. After the second day we didn't really notice it. Food here was gorgeous - made with real care and a homely feel. It's a little expensive for Sri Lanka (~$50 for the evening set menu) but worth it for the setting. Finally, the service. Wow! There is an army of polite, courteous staff that can't do enough for you. So helpful, chatty and cannot do enough for you. They make a true difference and always smiling. Would highly recommend this place for a relaxing break. Did not want to leave!
